Coconut shallot chutney

This chutney can be prepared in minutes. Goes very well with dosa and idly. 


Ingredients:

  • Shallots-5 to 6
  • Coconut gratings-1/2 cup
  • Dry red chilli -2 to 3 nos
  • Salt -to taste

To temper:

  • Coconut oil-1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves- few
  • Asafoetida- a pinch

Method:

  • Add all the ingredients together in a mixer and grind it to chutney by adding required water.
  • Temper with items mentioned under'to temper'.
  • Serve with idly/ dosa.

Notes:

  • For best results use only coconut oil and shallots.
