Coconut shallot chutney
This chutney can be prepared in minutes. Goes very well with dosa and idly.
Ingredients:
- Shallots-5 to 6
- Coconut gratings-1/2 cup
- Dry red chilli -2 to 3 nos
- Salt -to taste
To temper:
- Coconut oil-1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves- few
- Asafoetida- a pinch
Method:
- Add all the ingredients together in a mixer and grind it to chutney by adding required water.
- Temper with items mentioned under'to temper'.
- Serve with idly/ dosa.
Notes:
- For best results use only coconut oil and shallots.
