Paneer 65
Ingredients:
- Paneer -200 gms
- Red chilli powder -1/2tsp
- Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice -2 tsp
- Garam masala-1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp ( optional)
- Oil - To deep fry
- Chat masala- few pinches
- Salt -To taste
For batter:
- Maida/ all purpose flour -1/2 cup
- Corn flour- 2 tbsp
- Cooking soda - A generous pinch
- Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste -1/2 tsp
- Curd - 1 tbsp
- Ice cold water- As required
- Salt-To taste
Method:
- Cut paneer into vertical strips. Blanch it in hot water once.
- Now marinate them with red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, lemon juice and salt. Leave it aside for ten minutes.
- Now make the Batter ready by adding all the items mentioned under ' for batter'.
- The Batter should be thick enough to coat paneer. But remember not too thick and not too thin.
- Now coat the marinated paneer with little maida so that the Batter sticks to it properly.
- Dip the paneer fingers in batter and deep fry them.
- Sprinkle chat masala on the paneer fingers and enjoy hot.
Notes:
- Use Kashmiri red chilli powder for better colour.
- Adjust the Batter thickness if your fries goes wrong.
