Paneer 65



Ingredients:

  • Paneer -200 gms
  • Red chilli powder -1/2tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice -2 tsp
  • Garam masala-1/4 tsp
  • Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp ( optional)
  • Oil - To deep fry 
  • Chat masala- few pinches
  • Salt -To taste 

For batter:

  • Maida/ all purpose flour -1/2 cup
  • Corn flour- 2 tbsp
  • Cooking soda - A generous pinch 
  • Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste -1/2 tsp
  • Curd - 1 tbsp
  • Ice cold water- As required 
  • Salt-To taste 

Method:

  • Cut paneer into vertical strips. Blanch it in hot water once.
  • Now marinate them with red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, lemon juice and salt. Leave it aside for ten minutes. 
  • Now make the Batter ready by adding all the items mentioned under ' for batter'.
  • The Batter should be thick enough to coat paneer. But remember not too thick and not too thin.
  • Now coat the marinated paneer with little maida so that the Batter sticks to it properly.
  • Dip the paneer fingers in batter and deep fry them.
  • Sprinkle chat masala on the paneer fingers and enjoy hot.










Notes:

  •  Use Kashmiri red chilli powder for better colour.
  • Adjust the Batter thickness if your fries goes wrong.
