Paneer do pyaza ( dry)

A very tasty starter to have is this. There are two types of paneer do pyaza one is gravy and one is dry. I wanted to make some starter for my dinner and thought of trying this.

Ingredients:

  • Capsicum - 1/2 ( optional)
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup ( finely chopped)
  • Onion -1 (small) 
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 3/4 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1/2tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Amchoor powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Oil/ butter  - 2 tbsp

  • To fry paneer:

  • Paneer lengthwise cubes -10- 12 nos
  • All purpose flour/ maida- 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - To taste
  • Oil- as needed for shallow fry ( app 7-8 tbsp)


Method:

  • Make  a batter  with ingredients mentioned under ' to fry paneer' for coating the paneer ( bajji batter consistency)and shallow fry them.
  • Now in a pan add butter /oil followed by all the spices and ginger garlic paste. ( let the flame be in low)
  • Add Coriander leaves.
  • Now add onion and Capsicum  ( chop them length wise). Saute for 2 min.
  • Add fried paneer and stir well.
  • Serve hot.











Notes:

  • You can also use this as side dish for roti.
  • Adding Capsicum is optional as I love Capsicum in paneer starters I added more.
  • You can also add spring onion.
