Paneer do pyaza ( dry)
Serves -2
Ingredients:
- Capsicum - 1/2 ( optional)
- Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup ( finely chopped)
- Onion -1 (small)
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 3/4 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2tsp
- Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
- Amchoor powder- 1/2 tsp
- Oil/ butter - 2 tbsp
- To fry paneer:
- Paneer lengthwise cubes -10- 12 nos
- All purpose flour/ maida- 2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
- Salt - To taste
- Oil- as needed for shallow fry ( app 7-8 tbsp)
Method:
- Make a batter with ingredients mentioned under ' to fry paneer' for coating the paneer ( bajji batter consistency)and shallow fry them.
- Now in a pan add butter /oil followed by all the spices and ginger garlic paste. ( let the flame be in low)
- Add Coriander leaves.
- Now add onion and Capsicum ( chop them length wise). Saute for 2 min.
- Add fried paneer and stir well.
- Serve hot.
Notes:
- You can also use this as side dish for roti.
- Adding Capsicum is optional as I love Capsicum in paneer starters I added more.
- You can also add spring onion.
