Biscuits
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour /maida - 100 gms
- Butter -100 gms
- Powdered sugar -65 gms
- Vanilla Esscence -1 tsp
- Nuts( Chopped) -1/4 cup (Almonds/pistachios/cashews)
- Milk -1 tbsp
Method:
- Keep the butter in room temperature.Let it become soft.
- Now add the powdered sugar to this butter and beat it with a whisk untill fluffy.(till all the sugar melts completely).
- Now add Vanilla essence and again whisk well.
- Add the flour to this butter mixture and knead well.
- Knead well so that you get a nice smooth dough.Add more flour if you find the mixture is quite sticky.
- Finally add chopped nuts and and knead well.
- Now roll the dough into 1 inch thickness and cut it with cookie cutter in to the shapes you desire.
- Line a tray with baking sheet and arrange the cookies. Leave enough spacing between cookies as it will spread a lot while baking.
- Garnish the cookies on top with some more nuts (optional).
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 deg and bake for 10 mins.
- Let it cool completely. Enjoy your crispy biscuits.
Notes:
- You can avoid nuts and just make plain biscuits.
- Store in air tight container.
