Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • All purpose flour /maida - 100 gms
  • Butter -100 gms
  • Powdered sugar -65 gms
  • Vanilla Esscence -1 tsp
  • Nuts( Chopped) -1/4 cup (Almonds/pistachios/cashews)
  • Milk -1 tbsp

Method:

  • Keep the butter in room temperature.Let it become soft.
  • Now add the powdered sugar to this butter and beat it with a whisk untill fluffy.(till all the sugar melts completely).
  • Now add Vanilla essence and again whisk well.
  • Add the flour to this butter mixture and knead well.
  • Knead well so that you get a nice smooth dough.Add more flour if you find the mixture is quite sticky.
  • Finally add chopped nuts and and knead well.
  • Now roll the dough into 1 inch thickness and cut it with cookie cutter in to the shapes you desire.
  • Line a tray with baking sheet and arrange the cookies. Leave enough spacing between cookies as it will spread a lot while baking.
  • Garnish the cookies on top with some more nuts (optional).
  • Pre-heat the  oven to 180 deg and bake for 10 mins.
  • Let it cool completely. Enjoy your crispy biscuits.












Notes:

  • You can avoid nuts and just  make plain biscuits.
  • Store in air tight container.
