Veg momo
Ingredients:
- Carrot -1 small
- Beans -7 to 8
- Spring onion -4 to 5
- Cabbage -3/4 cup grated
- Oil -1 tbsp
- Pepper powder -1 tsp
- Garlic -3 to 4 pods
- Soy sauce - 1tsp
- All purpose flour/Maida -1 cup
- Sugar -1/4 tsp
- Salt -To taste
Method:
- In mixing bowl add maida, salt,2 tsp of oil and knead it to a dough with required water.
- Let the dough be soft.
- Now in a pan add oil followed by garlic,white part of spring onion.
- Now add carrot and beans and cook it for 2 mins.
- Then add cabbage and cook for 3 more mins.
- Add pepper powder,soy sauce salt,and sugar to taste
- Finally add green part of spring onion and turn of the heat.Let this cool before you stuff it.
- Now roll the dough into small discs, but let it be thin not thick. Keep the stuffing in center and close the dough as shown in the picture.
- Apply oil on the idly plate and steam it for 5 to 8 mins (till the momos turn shiny)
- You can also deep fry the momos instead of steaming.
- Serve hot with ketchup.
