Veg momo



Ingredients:

  • Carrot -1 small
  • Beans -7 to 8
  • Spring onion -4 to 5 
  • Cabbage -3/4 cup grated
  • Oil -1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder -1 tsp
  • Garlic -3 to 4 pods
  • Soy sauce - 1tsp
  • All purpose flour/Maida -1 cup
  • Sugar -1/4 tsp
  • Salt -To taste

Method:

  • In mixing bowl add maida, salt,2 tsp of oil and  knead it to a dough with required water.
  • Let the dough be soft.
  • Now in a pan add oil followed by garlic,white part of spring onion.
  • Now add carrot and beans and cook it for 2 mins.
  • Then add cabbage and cook for 3 more mins.
  • Add pepper powder,soy sauce salt,and sugar to taste
  • Finally add green part of spring onion and turn of the heat.Let this cool before you stuff it.
  • Now roll the dough into small discs, but let it be thin not thick. Keep the stuffing in center and close the dough as shown in the picture.
  • Apply oil on the idly plate and steam it for 5 to 8 mins (till the momos turn shiny)
  • You can also deep fry the momos instead of steaming.
  • Serve hot with ketchup.
