Cabbage pepper rice



Ingredients:

  • Cabbage -1 cup
  • Cooked rice-1.5 cups
  • Onion-1/4 cup chopped
  • Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder-1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves-1 tbsp
  • Garlic-1 tsp chopped
  • Garam masala-1/4 tsp
  • Oil-2 tsp
  • Cloves-3( optional)
  • Bay leaf -1( optional)
  • Salt - to taste

Method:

  • In a pan add oil followed by finely chopped garlic,bay leaf,cloves,and onion.
  • When onion turns soft add chopped cabbage followed by turmeric powder,garam masala,pepper powder and salt.
  • Cook covered for 5 mins.
  • Once done add pre cooked rice and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.






Notes:

  • You can make variations like adding paneer or baby corns etc.
  • I used paneer and it tasted very good.
  • You can use basmati rice or regular rice.
