Cabbage pepper rice
Ingredients:
- Cabbage -1 cup
- Cooked rice-1.5 cups
- Onion-1/4 cup chopped
- Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
- Black pepper powder-1 tsp
- Coriander leaves-1 tbsp
- Garlic-1 tsp chopped
- Garam masala-1/4 tsp
- Oil-2 tsp
- Cloves-3( optional)
- Bay leaf -1( optional)
- Salt - to taste
Method:
- In a pan add oil followed by finely chopped garlic,bay leaf,cloves,and onion.
- When onion turns soft add chopped cabbage followed by turmeric powder,garam masala,pepper powder and salt.
- Cook covered for 5 mins.
- Once done add pre cooked rice and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
Notes:
- You can make variations like adding paneer or baby corns etc.
- I used paneer and it tasted very good.
- You can use basmati rice or regular rice.
