Green gram paratha
Ingredients:
- Green gram dhal- 1 cup
- Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
- Green chilli-1
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- Garlic-2 to 3 cloves
- Garam masala-1/4 tsp
- Salt - to taste
Method:
- Soak green gram dhal for about 2 hours
- Add all the above ingredients in a pressure cooker and add 1&1/2 cup of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- If it's still watery cook till all the water evaporates.
- Then mash it well.
- Taste the filling and adjust the taste.
- Make chapathi dough and let it rest for 3 hours.
- Once the stuffing completely cools down make them into parathas.
- Add oil or butter for making parathas.
- Serve with curd and pickle.
Notes:
- Make sure you mash the stuffing well to avoid parathas from tearing.
