Green gram paratha


Ingredients:

  • Green gram dhal- 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli-1
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  • Garlic-2 to 3 cloves
  • Garam masala-1/4 tsp
  • Salt - to taste

Method:

  • Soak green gram dhal for about 2 hours
  • Add all the above ingredients in a pressure cooker and add 1&1/2 cup of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  • If it's still watery cook till all the water evaporates.
  • Then mash it well.
  • Taste the filling and adjust the taste.
  • Make chapathi dough and let it rest for 3 hours.
  • Once the stuffing completely cools down make them into parathas.
  • Add oil or butter for making parathas.
  • Serve with curd and pickle.




Notes:

  • Make sure you mash the stuffing well to avoid parathas from tearing.
