Red chilli onion chutney

Serves-1

Ingredients:

  • Red chilli-7 to 8
  • Garlic -3 to 4 cloves
  • Tamarind-1/4 tsp
  • Shallots- 6 to 8 nos
  • Salt- to taste

To temper:

  • Sesame oil- 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves- few
  • Asafoetida-a pinch

Method:

  • Add all the ingredients in a mixer and grind it to a fine paste by adding little water.
  • Now in a pan add oil and temper as mentioned above.
  • Add the grinded paste and cook well in low flame till oil oozes out.
  • Serve with idli or dosa.
