Peas paratha
Makes -4 parathas
Ingredients:
- Frozen peas- 2 cups
- Green chilli -2 to 3
- Ginger - 1 inch piece
- Garam masala -1 /2 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
- Amchoor powder -1/4 tsp
- Coriander leaves -1 tbsp
- Cumin - 1 tsp
- Salt - To taste
Method:
- Steam cook peas for 10 mins.
- Grind ginger and green chilli first. Then add green peas to it and grind it.
- Add a tbsp of water while grinding if needed else Don't add.
- Now mix in all the spices ,coriander leaves and salt.
- Mix well and make equal size balls.
- Stuff it in chapathi dough,roll it carefully and make parathas by adding oil / butter generously.
- Serve it with curd and pickle or with some spicy side dishes
Notes:
- You can replace a tbsp of lemon juice instead of amchoor powder.
- You can replace roasted jeera/ cumin powder instead if whole cumin.
- Roll the parathas carefully as it in May tend to tear very easily.
- Let the chapathi dough be soft enough so that you get good parathas.
- Do not add more water while grinding peas.
