Varutha milagai podi/ thogayal

Came across this recipe from a you tube channel called Madras meter. So tasty and flavourful.

Ingredients:

  • Curry leaves-2 hand full
  • Red chilli-10 nos
  • Garlic-3 cloves
  • Sesame oil-3 tsp
  • Salt- to taste

Method:

  • Wash the curry leaves. In a kadai add sesame oil followed by curry leaves.
  • When curry leaves turn crispy add red chilli.
  • Saute for 2 mins.
  • Now add curry leaves,red chilli,salt and grind it by adding little water.
  • Finally add garlic with it's skin on and give few pulses.
  • Add the remaining oil and mix well.




Notes:

  • This goes well with idli and dosa.
  • Stays good for 3 to 4 days even without refrigeration.
  • Ideal for travelling.
  • Tastes better when ground using'ammi'.
  • I used mortar and pestel for grinding.
