Fruit kesari



Ingredients:

  • Pineapple - 1 slice
  • Apple-1 slice
  • Banana-1/2
  • Guava-1 slice
  • Pomegranate-4 tsp
  • Tutti frutti-3 tsp
  • Sooji/Rava - 1 Cup
  • Sugar - 1&1/4 Cups
  • Water - 2 Cups 
  • Ghee - 1/4 cup
  • Cashews - Few
  • Raisins - Few
  • Cardamom - A pinch
  • Yellow food colour - a pinch( optional)
  • Saffron- few strands( optional)
  • Salt - A pinch

Method:

  • Roast sooji with ghee in a pan.
  • Add water and wait till boils. Add in all the fruits chopped finely. Add food colour.
  • Add sooji and wait till it gets cooked. 
  • Add sugar,ecardamom powder and a pinch of salt.
  • Add ghee as you are stirring.
  • Fry nuts and raisins in ghee and add it to the kesari.






Notes:

  • You can add fruits of your choice. 
  • Add less guava/ pomegranate as it's seeds may be quite disturbing while eating.
  • Adding food colour is completely optional.
  • Do not skip banana and pineapple as it gives very flavourful to keasari.
  • Adjust sugar to your preference.
  • Instead of buying all these fruits it will be easy and economical to buy a fruit salad pack sold in some super markets😛.
