Plantainpith soup



Ingredients:

  • Plantain pith- 1 cup chopped
  • Shallots-4 to 5
  • Bay leaf-1
  • Garlic -1
  • Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
  • Salt- to taste

Method:

  • Remove the outer layer of the plantain and chop by removing all the fibres as you cut each slice. Immerse it in water till you cook 
  • Now in a pressure cooker add all the above mentioned ingredients, 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
  • After it cools down grind in a mixie and strain to remove any fibrous things 
  • Once again boil it, adjust the consistency of soup and seasoning.
  • Serve hot.
