Plantainpith soup
Ingredients:
- Plantain pith- 1 cup chopped
- Shallots-4 to 5
- Bay leaf-1
- Garlic -1
- Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
- Salt- to taste
Method:
- Remove the outer layer of the plantain and chop by removing all the fibres as you cut each slice. Immerse it in water till you cook
- Now in a pressure cooker add all the above mentioned ingredients, 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
- After it cools down grind in a mixie and strain to remove any fibrous things
- Once again boil it, adjust the consistency of soup and seasoning.
- Serve hot.
