Red pasta
Serves-1
- Ingredients:
- Penne pasta - 1 cup
- Tomato-2
- Onion-1
- Garlic-3 cloves
- Red chilli-3
- Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
- Mixed herbs-1/4 tsp
- Olive oil-2 tsp
- Cheese-1/4 cup
- Salt- to taste
Method:
- Boil water in a vessel, add salt and tsp of oil to it.
- When water comes to boil add pasta. When it is done strain it and keep it aside.
- Now in a vessel add water, tomato ,3 red chillies and bring it to boil. Strain it.
- Remove the outer skin of tomato and grind tomato, red chilli in a mixer to a fine paste.
- In a pan add oil followed by finely chopped onion and garlic cloves.
- When onion becomes soft add the tomato mixture,salt to taste,mixed herbs, pepper powder and cook in a low flame till the raw smell disappears( say fo 10 to 12 mins)( you can store this in fridge for about a week)
- Now add the pasta and mix well.
- Garnish it with grated cheese and serve hot.
Notes:
- Can use any cheese or may not use cheese also.
- Adjust red chillies to your preference.
- You can also make the red paste in bulk and store in fridge and use it any time to make pasta instantly.
