Red pasta


Serves-1

  • Ingredients:
  • Penne pasta - 1 cup
  • Tomato-2 
  • Onion-1
  • Garlic-3 cloves
  • Red chilli-3
  • Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
  • Mixed herbs-1/4 tsp
  • Olive oil-2 tsp
  • Cheese-1/4 cup
  • Salt- to taste

Method:

  • Boil water in a vessel, add salt and tsp of oil to it.
  • When water comes to boil add pasta. When it is done strain it and keep it aside.
  • Now in a vessel add water, tomato ,3 red chillies and bring it to boil. Strain it.
  • Remove the outer skin of tomato and grind tomato, red chilli in a mixer to a fine paste.
  • In a pan add oil followed by finely chopped onion and garlic cloves.
  • When onion becomes soft add the tomato mixture,salt to taste,mixed herbs, pepper powder and cook in a low flame till the raw smell disappears( say fo 10 to 12 mins)( you can store this in fridge for about a week)
  • Now add the pasta and mix well.
  • Garnish it with grated cheese and serve hot.







Notes:

  • Can use any cheese or may not use  cheese also.
  • Adjust red chillies to your preference.
  • You can also make the red paste in bulk and store in fridge and use it any time to make pasta instantly.
