Kuzhipaniyaram
Ingredients:
- Dosa batter -As required
- Onion -2
- Oil -As needed
- Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
- Urad dhal -1 tsp
- Channa dhal -1 tsp
- Asafoetida -A generous pinch
- Green chilli -3
- Curry leaves - A spring
- Coriander leaves -3 tbsp
- Salt -To taste
Method:
- In a pan add oil and temper with mustard seds,urad dhal and channa dhal.
- Then add onion,green chilli, asafoetida,curry leaves and salt.
- Saute till onion turns soft.
- Turn off the flame and coriander leaves and add this mixture to dosa batter.
- Mix well.Heat a kuzhipaniyaram tawa, one third of each hole should be filled with oil.when oil is hot enough pour the batter.
- When it is cooked on one side flip it with the help of a stick and cook the other side too.
- Serve it hot with sambar and chutney.
Notes:
- A non stick kuzhpaniyaram maker consumes less oil.
