Kuzhipaniyaram

Ingredients:

  • Dosa batter -As required
  • Onion -2
  • Oil -As needed
  • Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
  • Urad dhal -1 tsp
  • Channa dhal -1 tsp
  • Asafoetida -A generous pinch
  • Green chilli -3
  • Curry leaves - A spring 
  • Coriander leaves -3 tbsp
  • Salt -To taste

Method:

  • In a pan add oil and temper with mustard seds,urad dhal and channa dhal.
  • Then add onion,green chilli, asafoetida,curry leaves and salt.
  • Saute till onion turns soft.
  • Turn off the flame and coriander leaves and add this mixture to dosa batter.
  • Mix well.Heat a kuzhipaniyaram tawa, one third of each hole should be filled with oil.when oil is hot enough  pour the batter.
  • When it is cooked on one side flip it with the help of a stick and cook the other side too.
  • Serve it hot with sambar and chutney.








Notes:

  • A non stick kuzhpaniyaram maker consumes less oil.
