Potato gravy

Ingredients:

Potato -2 medium size
Onion -1
Tomato -1
Cumin -1/4 tsp
Garlic - 2 cloves
Cardamom -1
Cloves- 2
Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/8 tap
Cumin powder -1/4 tsp
Coriander powder -1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves -1 tbsp
Curry leaves - Few
Oil -1 tbsp
Salt - To taste

To temper:

  • Oil -1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - a spring
  • Green chilli -1

Method:

  • Peel the potato skin and chop it into cubes.
  • Finely chopped onion , tomato,garlic.
  • In a pan add oil followed by garlic cloves and cardamom, Curry leaves.
  • Then add onion, when it turns transparent add tomato.
  • When tomato turns mushy add all the spice powders,salt and required water.
  • Add the potatoes ,close the lid and cook in medium flame till potatoes are done.
  • Add coriander and turn off the flame.
  • Finally temper with items mentioned under' to temper'. Serve.














Notes:

  • If you find your dish too watery then mash few potatoes in them.
