Kalakhand
Very easy sweet that can be made in a jiffy.
Ingredients:
- Paneer -250gm
- Condensed milk -200ml
- Sugar -2 tbsp
- Milk powder (dairy whitener) -1 tbsp
- Cardamom powder -A pinch
- Pistachios -Few
- Ghee -Just to grease
Method:
- Keep paneer immersed in hot water for few minutes,drain and squeeze them completely.Place it in a mixer and crumble it by using pulse option in mixie.
- Now mix crumbled paneer,condensed milk,cadamom/elachi,sugar,milk powder and mix well.
- Pour it into a non stick pan and stir for 4 minutes or till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- Grease a plate with ghee and pour the cooked kalakhand .
- Garnish it with pistachios and serve.
Notes:
- I cooked kalakhand for very long time so mine turned bit hard.So be carefull.
- Adjust sugar according to your taste preference as condensed milk is also sweet.
- Milk powder is optional but it helps acts as a binding agent.
- You can make this with fresh home made paneer also.Cooking time may vary.
