Ajwain/omam biscuits
This oma/ ajwain biscuits was really tasty and easy to make also. Do try it
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour - 1&1/2 cup
- Omam/ ajwain/ carol seeds- 1tsp ( heaped)
- Oil-1/4 cup
- Butter/ghee -1 tsp
- Milk- 6 tbsp
- Yoghurt/ curd- 1 tbsp
- Sugar- 3/4 tsp
- Salt -1&1/2 tbsp
Method:
- Mix all the above dry ingredients and curd in a bowl crumble them well and add milk and make it to a smooth dough.
- There must not be any cracks in the dough.
- Now roll them to the thickness you prefer ( but not too thick)and cut them with cookie cutter or any bottle caps. Dust flour while you are rolling.
- Prick them with fork so that they don't puff up.
- Now pre heat the oven to 180 degree and bake them for 13 to 15 min.
- Store it in a air tight container.
Notes:
- If you find your dough is loose in consistency add some extra flour and kneed it smoothly.
- You can reduce or increase salt and sugar measurements according to your taste buds.
- I used less salt than mentioned.
- Use big cookie cutter for easy work.
- I forgot and added all the ingredients together at once. But had no problem while Baking.
