Baby corn gravy



Serves -3

Ingredients:

  • Onion -2
  • Tomato-1&1/2
  • Capsicum -1/2
  • Baby corn -10 nos
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp 
  • Red chilli powderived-1 tsp 
  • Turmeric powder-1/8 tsp 
  • Coriander powder-1 tsp 
  • Garam masala powder-1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seeds powder/ jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Kasoori Methi-1/2 tsp
  • Milk -1/2 cup
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt-To taste 

Method:

  • Slit the baby corn and cut it into big chunks.
  • Cook them till soft with salt and turmeric powder.
  • In a pan saute 1 onion and tomatoes.  When they are cooked transfer it into blender/ mixie and add all the spices along with Kasoori Methi and grind them into fine paste. 
  • Now in a pan add a tsp of oil and saute cubed onion and Capsicum.  Keep them aside.
  • Now add 4 tsp of oil in a pan followed by Cumin seeds and pour the ground paste, salt and  Cook for 3 to 4 mins. ( add water to the consistency you prefer).
  • Add milk little by little and let it cook for 2 more mins.
  • Add cooked baby corn and boil it for 2 more mins.
  • Finally add the sautéed onion and Capsicum and turn off the flame.
  • serve it with roti/ chapathi/ naan or with mild pulao varieties like jeera or peas pulao.









Notes:

  •  You can also add paneer in this gravy.
