Baby corn gravy
Serves -3
Ingredients:
- Onion -2
- Tomato-1&1/2
- Capsicum -1/2
- Baby corn -10 nos
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powderived-1 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1/8 tsp
- Coriander powder-1 tsp
- Garam masala powder-1/4 tsp
- Cumin seeds powder/ jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
- Kasoori Methi-1/2 tsp
- Milk -1/2 cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt-To taste
Method:
- Slit the baby corn and cut it into big chunks.
- Cook them till soft with salt and turmeric powder.
- In a pan saute 1 onion and tomatoes. When they are cooked transfer it into blender/ mixie and add all the spices along with Kasoori Methi and grind them into fine paste.
- Now in a pan add a tsp of oil and saute cubed onion and Capsicum. Keep them aside.
- Now add 4 tsp of oil in a pan followed by Cumin seeds and pour the ground paste, salt and Cook for 3 to 4 mins. ( add water to the consistency you prefer).
- Add milk little by little and let it cook for 2 more mins.
- Add cooked baby corn and boil it for 2 more mins.
- Finally add the sautéed onion and Capsicum and turn off the flame.
- serve it with roti/ chapathi/ naan or with mild pulao varieties like jeera or peas pulao.
Notes:
- You can also add paneer in this gravy.
