Kuzhambu milaga thool (Curry masala powder)
Ingredients:
Coriander seeds- 1/2 kg
Red chilli -1/2kg
Channa dhal- 150 gms
Toor dhal -150 gms
Pepper corns- 50gms
Cumin/ jeera- 50gms
Mustard seeds-50gms
Fenugreek seeds - 25 gms
Method:
- Dry roast each ingredient separately. Bring it to room temperature and grind it to fine powder.
- Store it in Air tight container the shelf life for this powder is 6 months or more than that.
- You can grind it in Mill if you are making it in bulk or if you are making it in small portions you can use mixie.
Notes:
- Some sun dry all the ingredients and grind it in Mill. Doing as such, may reduce the shelf life.
- Adjust the quantity if you are making it in small portions.
- I usually make only small portions.
