Paneer manchurian


Serves -2


Ingredients:

  • Paneer -10-15 cubes
  • Oil- to deep fry
  • Curd-1 tbsp
  • Corn flour -2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  • Garlic paste-1/4 tsp
  • Salt- to taste

For Manchurian gravy:

  • Oil-2 tsp
  • Garlic -4 to 5 cloves( chopped finely)
  • Spring onion-3 to 4  springs
  • Onion-1/2
  • Capsicum-1
  • Soy sauce-2 tsp
  • Chilli sauce-1 tsp
  • Tomato sauce-1 tsp
  • Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
  • Cornflour-3/4 tsp
  • Salt- To taste

Method:

  • In bowl add corn flour, red chilli powder, garlic paste,salt make a paste by adding curd.
  • Marinate paneer with the above cornflour mixture.
  • Then deep fry them till golden brown.keep it aside.
  • Now in a pan add oil followed by finely chopped garlic,white part of spring onion.
  • Then add cubed onion and capsicum.
  • Cook for 2 mins, then add all the sauces,salt and mix well.
  • Finally add 1/2 cup of water and diluted corn flour mixture. Add salt and pepper powder.
  • Add green part of spring onion once gravy consistency is achieved 






Notes:

  • You can replace red chilli sauce with red chilli powder.
  • Adjust spice to your wish.
  • You can add 1/2 tsp of fried rice masala powder to enhance the taste.
  • Adjust the water quantity to the consistency of gravy you prefer.
  • Goes best with fried rice.
  • Can have as a starter .
