Masala poori


Wheat flour-2 cups
  • Red chilli powder-1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder-1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1 few pinches
  • Pepper powder-1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
  • Ajwain/ omam-1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala- 1/4 tsp
  • Oil-1 tsp
  • Rava-2 tsp( optional)
  • Salt- To taste

Method:

  • In a wide mouthed vessel add all the above ingredients and mix well.
  • Add water and knead into a smooth,tight dough.
  • Apply oil and let the poori dough sit for 15 to 30 mins.
  • Roll them into pooris and deep fry them.
  • Serve hot.





Notes:

  • Adding rava ensures that poori stays puffed up for a long time.
  • Make sure that o is hot enough for deep frying.
