Paneer peas pulao
Serves -2
Ingredients:
- Basmati rice - 1 cup
- Peas -1/2 cup ( I used frozen peas)
- Paneer -15 - 20 cubes
- Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
- Onion -1
- Green chilli-2 to 3
- Carrot -1/4 cup chopped ( optional)
- Mint leaves chopped -2 tsp ( optional)
- Salt - To taste
To temper:
- Oil -2 tbsp
- Cinnamon-1/2 inch piece
- Cumin -1/2 tsp
- Cloves -2
- Cardamom-1
Method:
- Soak Basmati rice for 20 to 30 mins.
- In a pan add oil and temper with items mentioned.
- Then add onion, ginger garlic paste and green chilli.
- When onion turns transparent add peas and carrot.
- Cook till veggies are done. Then add salt and 1&1/2 cup water.
- When water comes to boil add soaked Basmati rice . Close the lid and cook in medium flame till done.
- Stir in between to avoid burnt bottom.
- Shallow fry paneer and add it to the pulao.
- Shallow frying is optional. You can just add paneer after blanching it .
Notes:
- My onion caramelised so pulao came out brown in colour .😏
- So don't allow the onion to caramelise. You will get a nice white colour pulao.🤗
