Cut mango pickle
Ingredients:
- Raw mango - 1 ( large)
- Salt-1/4 cup (rock salt)
- Red chilli powder -3-4 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds powder -1/2 tsp
- Sesame oil -1/4 cup
- Mustard Seeds-1 tsp
- Asafoetida-1 tap
Method:
- Cut mango into big chunks.
- Put them in a plastic/ porcelain/ glass container.
- Add salt, mix well and leave it aside .
- Everyday for about 6 to 7 days mix them well.
- Now add oil in a pan, followed by mustard seed, when it splutters turn off the flame and then add chilli powder, fenyfenug seeds powder,asafoetida.
- Pour this into the pickled mango. Mix well.
- Let it stand for 3 to 4 hours before consumption.
Notes:
- Dry Roast and powder the fenugreek seeds.
