Cut mango pickle


Ingredients:

  • Raw mango - 1 ( large)
  • Salt-1/4 cup (rock salt)
  • Red chilli powder -3-4 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds powder -1/2 tsp
  • Sesame oil -1/4 cup
  • Mustard Seeds-1 tsp
  • Asafoetida-1 tap

Method:

  • Cut mango into big chunks.
  • Put them in a plastic/ porcelain/ glass container.
  • Add salt, mix well and leave it aside .
  • Everyday for about 6 to 7 days mix them well.
  • Now add oil in a pan, followed by mustard seed, when it splutters turn off the flame and then add chilli powder, fenyfenug seeds powder,asafoetida.
  • Pour this into the pickled mango. Mix well.
  • Let it stand for 3 to 4 hours before consumption.









Notes:

  • Dry Roast and powder the fenugreek seeds.
