Milagai ( chilli) vathal

Ingredients:

  • Green chilli-  50 nos
  • Fenugreek seeds- 1/4 cup
  • Salt- as required ( I used less than 1/4 cup)
  • Asafoetida-3/4tsp

Method:

  • Select good variety of green chilli. Let it be thick and long.
  • Wash and Pat dry.
  • Dry Roast fenugreek seeds till nice aroma comes 
  • Now add rock salt or regular salt, asafoetida and grind them to fine powder.
  • Now slit the chilli and deseed it (drseeding helps to stuff the fenugreek powder and also reduces the spice level).
  • Now stuff the fenugreek salt mixture.
  • Sundry them for 3 to 4 days.
  • Store in an air tight container and deep fry them when required.
