Shallots chutney
Serves -2
Quite interesting recipe and very easy to make.It is a good side dish for dosa/utthappam and idly.Ingredients:
- Shallots/Small onion -10 nos
- Coconut -1/4 cup
- Red chilli -3-4 nos
- Oil -1 tsp
- Salt -To taste
To temper:
- Oil -1 tsp
- Mustard seeds -1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves -Few
- Red chilli -1
- Asafoetida -A pinch
Method:
- In a pan add 1 tsp of oil and roast red chilli,shallots,coconut.
- Add salt and grind it to chutney.
- Temper it with items given under 'to temper'.
Notes:
- A small piece of tamarind can be added while roasting.
