Ivy gourd / kovakai fry

I always make poriyal with ivy gourd/ kovakai. When i saw this dish in you tube I immediatly wanted to try. So simple to make and this Ivy gourd fry was superb.Do try this.

Ingredients:


  • Ivy gourd - 1 cup(chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp 
  • Rice flour - 1 tsp
  • Corn flour - 1 tsp
  • Oil - To deep fry
  • Salt - To taste 

Method :


  • Chop ivy gourd/ kovakai round in shape
  • Mix all the above mentioned ingredients and add 1 tbsp of water. ( add little more water if needed).
  • Mix well so that all the pieces are coated well.
  • Deep fry them.
  • Serve as snacks or as an accompaniment.
