Keerai cabbage poriyal
Ingredients:
- Any keerai - 1 cup ( chopped, I used amaranth leaves/ mulaikeerai)
- Cabbage- 1 cup ( chopped)
- Green chilli- 1
- Coconut gratings - 2 tbsp
- Salt- To taste
To temper :
- Oil-2 tsp
- Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp
- Cumin-1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida-a pinch
- Curry leaves -few
Method:
- Chop cabbage and keerai finely.
- In a pan temper with items mentioned under'to temper'.
- Now add green chilli followed by keeria and cabbage. Saute for 2 mins.
- When it is cooked add coconut gartings mix well and turn off the flame.
- Serve.
Notes:
- You may add finely chopped onion if you like.
- You can replace green chilli with pepper powder.
