Nei appam
Ingredients:
- Coconut-1/4 cup ( grated)
- Raw rice -1 cup
- Jaggery- 3/4 cup
- Cooking soda- 3 pinches
- Cardamom powder- few pinch
- Ghee- as required ( to make appam)
- Salt - a pinch
Method:
- Soak rice for about 3 hours. Grind it to a thick paste by adding little water.elt jaggery with little water and strain to remove any impurities.
- Add coconut gratings, cardamom, salt, cooking soda and melted jaggery.
- Heat kuzhipaniyaram kadai,add ghee in each hole and add batter.
- Cook both sides till golden brown.
- Serve.
Notes:
- Increase or decrease jaggery quantity to suit your taste buds.
