Mango pachadi



Mango lovers will definitely love this pachadi/pickle.Whenever there is mango season im sure this pachadi/pickle will be in everyone's home.This mouth watering dish is a pakka  side dish for curd rice.I sometimes mix it with rice and have it.For this 'kili mooku manga'is best.Try this easy recipe.

Ingredients:


  • Raw mango -1
  • Sesame oil -1/4 cup
  • Mustard seeds -2 tsp
  • Asafoetida -1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder -2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  • Fenugreek powder-1/2 tsp
  • Salt -To taste


Method:

  • Dry roast fenugreek seeds and powder it finely.
  • Cut mango into small pieces.
  • In a pan add oil,let the flame be in low. when it becomes hot add mustard seeds.
  • When mustard seeds pops, add asafoetida followed by turmeric ,red chilli, fenugreek powder and salt.
  • Now add the finely chopped mango pieces.
  • Mix well and turn off the gas immediately.
















Notes:

  • Remember that oil should be in low heat, if not red chilli powder and turmeric powder will get burnt.
  • Instead of adding mango pieces to temper you can add tempering to mango pieces also.Both are fine.
  • You can use ordinary oil also.But sesame oil enhances the taste.
