Potato Gravy


Serves -3

This gravy is very easy to make.You can make it in a jiffy. A perfect combination  for chappathi/roti. Whenever I feel lazy to make side dish for chappathi I will make this gravy only. It is not only easy but also tasty.


Ingredients:

  • Potato -3
  • Tomato -2
  • Oil -1 tbsp
  • Cumin/Jeera -1 stp
  • Coriander powder -1&1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder -1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Coriander leaves -2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves -Few
  • Water -1/2 to 3/4cup
  • Salt -To taste

Method:

  • Cut the potatoes into small cubes.Blend the tomatoes into puree.
  • Now in a pressure cooker add oil,cumin,curry leaves.
  • When cumin turns brown add chopped potatoes and saute for a 2 mins.
  • Now add tomato puree followed by all the spices and salt.
  • Cook for 2 more mins.
  • Now add water,check for salt and pressure cook for three whistles.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.





Notes:

  • We are adding water for the potatoes to get cooked ,so You can add less or more water than mentioned.
  • If your gravy becomes little runny Boil till it becomes thick enough.
