5 Taste uttapam



The first time when I saw '5 taste uttapam' on a hotel menu (HSB), I was so surprised on seeing         '5 taste'.How come 5 different tastes in a single uttapam.So I ordered. When the order came I was totally disappointed on seeing 5 small( no very very small !!!) sized uttapams with different toppings. Hmmm any how it was tasty..... Later when I started cooking I made this 5 taste uttapam for my husband.He really enjoyed it.

Ingredients:

  • Dosa batter - As needed
  • Carrot -1/2 cup (grated)
  • Onion -1/2 
  • Tomato -1/2
  • Coriander -2 tsp
  • Idly podi -2 tsp
  • Oil -As needed

Method:

  • Pour dosa batter in tawa,spread it litlle.As you know uttapam should be thick.
  • Spread each toppings on the top of batter.
  • Spread oil on the sides of uttapam. Flip it on the other side once it is done.Cook in low flame.
  • After both sides cooking is done serve.
  • Goes well with sambar,chutney.






Notes:

  • Do not cook podi uttapam for long time ,as idli podi may turn black. So cook in low flame.
  • Toppings are according to one's wish so top it up as per your wish.
