Pepper rice type 1

School/College/Office when it comes to lunch time 'Rice varieties' takes the first place.Instead of making usual rice varieties like lemon,tamrind,tomato some different types like curryleaves, podi,Mango,pepper rice etc makes the lunch box much better for the lunch time.So lets make this pepper rice now.
Ingredients:
- Whole black pepper -1 tbsp
- Cooked rice - 2 cups
- Onion -1 medium
- Cashew nuts -7-8 nos
- Cumin - 3/4 tbsp
- Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
- Urad dhal -1/2 tsp
- Ghee -1 tbsp
- Curry leaves -1 spring
- Salt -To taste
Method:
- First crush whole pepper and cumin in a mortar & pestel or just give them 1 or 2 pulses in mixie.
- In a pan add ghee and add mustard seeds followed by urad dhal.
- When urad dhal turns golden brown add onion and curry leaves Followed by cashew nuts.
- Now add cooked rice followed by the crushed cumin,black pepper powder and salt. Mix well.
- Serve.
Notes:
- You can reduce or increase pepper and cumin as per your wish.
- You can add basmati rice instead of normal rice.
