Rasmalai
I'm not a sweet toothed person but I love certain sweets a lot and RASMALAI is one among them.So easy to make if you have rasgullas at home.Perfect for any occasion.I generally prefer home made rasgullas for making rasmalai. as shop bought rasgullas are bit harder than home made one.
Ingredients:
- Rasgullas -8 nos
- Milk -3/4 litre
- Sugar -1/2 cup or as needed
- Saffron -A pinch
- Almond -7
- Pistachios -7
- Cardamom -1/4 tsp
Method:
- Boil milk without adding water for about 30 mins in a low flame.
- Add saffron to the milk while it is boiling.
- Add crushed nuts, cardamom to it.
- Add sugar to taste.(You can also use the sugar syrup used for making rasgullas).
- Now squeeze extra sugar syrup from the rasgullas and drop them into this hot milk.
- Refrigerate it for about 2-3 hours.
- Enjoy:)
Notes:
- You can use either home made rasgullas or shop bought ones.
- I dint add any sugar to the milk I just added the sugar syrup used for making rasgullas!!
- Rasmalai tastes even more better when consumed the next day its made.(But refrigerate it!!).
- Saffron and cardamom gives flavour to the milk so do not omit them.
- Refer my rasgulla post for making rasgullas.
- I din't add any artificial colours. If you want you can add yellow food colour.
