Carrot beans poriyal



Serves -2

Ingredients:

  • Carrot -2
  • Beans -100 gms
  • Coconut gratings-2tbsp
  • Turmeric powder -A pinch
  • Water -1/2 cup(or as needed to cook vegetables)
  • Sugar -1/4 tsp
  • Salt -To taste

To temper:

  • Oil -1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds -1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli -1
  • Asafoetida -A pinch
  • Curry leaves -Few

Method:

  • In a pan temper with items given under 'to temper'.
  • Then add finely chopped vegetables followed by salt,sugar.
  • Add water and cook till it is done.
  • Finally add coconut gratings,mix well and serve.



Notes:

  • You can add moon dhal along with the vegetables.
