Palak Aloo Paratha






Makes 7 parathas

Ingredients:

  • Spinach/Palak -2 cups tightly packed
  • Potato -2 nos
  • Onion -1 large
  • Green chilli -1 no
  • Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves -3 tbsp
  • Cumin/jeera -1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder -1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala -1/2 tsp
  • Oil -2 tbsp
  • Salt - To taste

Method:

  • Blanch spinach,Squeeze the water from it completely and chop it finely.
  • Boil potatoes and grate them.
  • In a pan add oil,cumin,when it turns brown add ginger garlic paste saute for few seconds and then add onion.
  • When onion turns soft add spinach saute for a while and then add grated potatoes.
  • Now add all the spices and cook well. Finally add coriander and mix.
  • Stuff it in chapathi dough and knead it.
  • Toast it with oil or butter.
  • Serve it with curd and pickle.














Notes:

  • Instead of adding cumin as whole u can add cumin powder also.
  • While blanching add sugar so that spinach will retain its colour.
  • Just give one boil while blanching and immediately run it in cold water to stop it from cooking.
