Oats paratha
Makes 4 parathas.
There are several dishes with oats. I got bored with usual oats porridge and oats idli.When I was surfing in net for some different oats recipe I saw this in vah re vah website.I immediately got into the action of making it.I got this perfect.I think this is one of the best way to have oats.With very less ingredients it is quick to make also.- Oats -1 big cup
- Water -1/4-1/2 cup
- Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
- Amchoor powder -1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder -1/2 tsp
- Garam masala -1/4 tsp
- Butter -2 Tbsp
- Coriander leaves -A handful
- Salt -To taste
Method:
- In a big bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned above sprinkle water little by little and mix well.
- Your stuffing is now ready.Now make balls out of it.
- Make soft chapathi dough.
- Stuff and roll it similar to aloo paratha.
- The size of stuffing and chappathi dough should be equal.
- For better taste let the size of the stuffing be more than size of the roti dough.
- Serve hot with curd and pickle.
Notes:
- Add water carefully while making the oats stuffing.
- As adding more water will make the stuffing messy.
- If you have added more water,add oats to adjust it.
- Check the taste of the stuffing before rolling it.
- Can use oil/butter while toasting it.
