Cauliflower fries

I love cauliflower only when it is fried or when it is added in kurma.It has a very good flavour when fried. Instead of having usual Gobi 65 this is different in taste and also very easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower -1 medium
  • Corn flour -1 tbsp
  • Rice flour -1/4 cup
  • Red chilli powder -1&1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Oil - For deep frying
  • Salt -To taste

Method:

  • Separate cauliflower florets into bite size pieces.
  • Boil this with salt and turmeric,when it boils turn off the gas,cover it with lid and strain it after 5 mins.
  • Now sprinkle rice flour,corn flour,turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
  • Sprinkle very little water to make those spices to coat the florets.
  • Heat oil  and deep  fry it.






Notes:
  • Fry just before serving as it will become soggy.
  • Do not add more cornflour or more water than mentioned as fries may become hard.
  • Consume it within 20 mins after frying as it will turn soggy.
  • The florets must retain some moisture when you add spices so that it will coat them.
  • So it is very important for the florets to remain covered in hot water for 5 mins.
  • Squeeze lemon for a tangy touch.
