Palak paneer



Serves-4

Palak paneer  is a green beauty.I Like this dish and it is best way to make kids eat greens.Try and enjoy.

Ingredients:


  • Spinach/palak -1 cup (tightly packed)
  • Paneer cubes -15-20nos
  • Onion -1 large
  • Tomato -1 large
  • Green chilli -2 nos
  • Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
  • Oil/Butter -1 tbsp
  • Cumin/jeera -1 tsp
  • Cinnamon -1 small stick
  • Cardamom -2
  • Cloves -2
  • Red chilli powder -1 tsp
  • Coriander powder -1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala -1/4 tsp
  • Kasoori methi -1/4 tsp
  • Milk -1/4 cup
  • Fresh cream -1/4 cup
  • Sugar -1/4 tsp
  • Salt -To taste


Method:

  • Blanch spinach with little sugar so that spinach will retain its colour.
  • Immediately run spinach in cold water to stop it from getting cooked.
  • Grind spinach with green chilli to a paste.
  • In a pan add Oil/butter and add whole garam masala followed by jeera.
  • Add onion and saute for 2 mins.Add ginger garlic paste and saute.
  • Add tomato and cook till it turns mushy.Add turmeric,red chilli and coriander powder and saute.
  • Now add palak,green chilli puree.Cook till raw smell goes. Add salt.
  • Now add milk little by little and stir.
  • Similarly add cream little by little and stir.Add sugar.
  • Finally add kasoori methi and paneer cubes.
  • Serve hot with chapathi.

















Notes:

  • You can avoid cream and add 1/2 cup of milk.
