Peas masala

I'm not a huge fan of peas.But Due to its rich qualities I try to have it.This is indeed a treat for peas lovers and a great side dish for dosa.Unlike usual chutney and sambar such types of masalas tickle our taste buds.SO simple and easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • Onion -1 large
  • Tomato -1 large
  • Peas -1 cup
  • Jeera -1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon -A small stick
  • Ginger garlic paste -1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves -2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder -1 tsp
  • Garam masala -1/4 tsp
  • Oil -2 tsp
  • Salt -To taste

Method:

  • In a pan add oil followed by cinnamon stick and jeera.
  • Now add onion,ginger garlic paste.Saute till raw small of ginger garlic paste disappears.
  • Now add tomato followed by all spices.Add salt.Saute for till tomato turns mushy.
  • Add peas and mix well.Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve with dosa/chappathi










Notes:

  • I used frozen peas.If you are adding fresh peas first cook them till soft and then add.
