Garlic chutney



Serves -3

Since garlic is good for health why not have it as a chutney..I personally like this chutney and it is a good combination for dosa/uthappam.

Ingredients:

  • Coconut scrappings -1/2 cup
  • Garlic -5-6 cloves(big)
  • Red chilli - 5-6 nos
  • Salt -To taste

To temper:

  • Oil -1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds -1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves -Few

Method:

  • In a pan add oil and roast red chilli.
  • Then add coconut and garlic ,roast till coconut becomes dry.
  • Add salt and grind it by adding water to chutney consistency.
  • Temper it with items given under 'to temper'.
  • Serve with dosa/idli/uthappam.




Notes:

  • Few may not like this chutney as it has a peculiar strong punch in it.
  • You can add less garlic also.
